• What we do

Mountain Dreamers formed in June, 2018 as a volunteer group of immigrants and non-immigrants to bring the stories of local immigrant families to the community.

Today, we have offices in Frisco and Eagle and provide local immigrant clients with free services and grassroots advocacy.

    MD’s efforts include

    • Immigration legal aid to help DACA recipients, asylum seekers, and their families gain work permits and legal status ($300,000 distributed to date)

    • Help to apply for the Colorado Standard driver’s license/ID for immigrants and help to file taxes and gain Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN’s)

    • Local and statewide community advocacy on access to affordable housing, protections for renters and mobile home park residents, equitable public transportation access, wage theft and labor trafficking, and more

    • The “Oso” Outdoor Equity and Inclusion Initiative, breaking down barriers and increasing access to outdoor recreation for immigrants, non-English speakers, and people of color

    • The “Newcomers” migrant integration project and transitional shelter
